About

Billie Baker is a multidisciplinary artist currently creating on unceded Bundjalung Country. Baker’s work oscillates between film, digital drawing, photography, weaving, painting and textiles, where acidic and saturated colour and ethereal mark-making couple to form dream-like interpretations of the human form and natural landscapes. Baker is interested in the complex connection between humans and the environment, where she draws from mythology and spirituality to convey hidden, alternative realities that speak to this complexity. Baker, has studied at Regents College in London and  completed a Bachelor of Design in Photography and Situated Media, at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2017.
